Wy’east UU Board Meeting Minutes April 10, 2026

Attendance:

Debra T, Willow Sage D, Lary B, Linda B, Andy L, Rev Leslie , Linda M

 

Marketing Report:

Linda M reports that the WEB site is progressing

There has been some delay due to the illness of the consultant.

Larry thanked Linda M for her role and stated that she deserves to be paid for her efforts. 

 There has been no visible results of this project yet, but meeting every Sunday has a positive effect on the number of visitors we have had. The marketing part of this project will  start before  the end  of the fiscal year 2025-26

CfPA center is having a block party July 27th.It was suggested that we be part of this. Some ideas: Rev Leslie reading a story, Ruth J doing improve, Kathy S bringing her dog, Peaches, 

Music ie a choir

MA will cover the increased expense of rent, RE, additional minister hours of Stephanie S.for another year. 

 

Fifth Sunday Activity: March 29th was a success. Clothing  and money were donated for the 1st Church shower project and the singing circle was well received. 

It was suggested we call the 5th Sunday  Super Sunday. 

 

Treasurer's report:

Larry stated the budget is on track. 

Larry will be away for 3 weeks. D’On will make deposits during that time

 Bruce reported that the Canvass started this week. It will run for 2 weeks. 

 

Membership:

The report was accepted. 

Rev. Leslie requested that membership  schedule a new member ceremony. 

Linda B will talk with Ron.

 

Accessibility:

Andy suggested listing the accessibility offered at services on the WEB site.

 

Bylaws:

Leslie will discuss the proposed changes in the bylaws at the May 3rd service.

 

Annual Meeting:

2 board members are needed to replace Debra and Willow : Eileen Watters and Kendra Staley         agreed to run. 

Two are needed for the nominating committee to replace Diane Ingle and Diane Hogan. 

Lana Quackenbush and Diane Arnold agreed to run. Ruth J will continue for one more year. 

Eddie,( tech )and Heather(RE) will be asked to stay later on May 3rd and 17th . Eddie to help with online voting and Heather for child care during the annual meetings.

Linda B will request annual reports from the committee chairs and prepare the paper ballots.

The annual report will be sent on line to members and active friends.A few paper copies available on May 17th. 

 

Social Justice Report:

The social justice  theme for 2026-27 year - "Finding Your Voice” was approved by the board members.
