Wy’east Board Meeting February 13, 2026

Marketing Report
Linda M stated that the draft of the updated WEB site will be
presented at the March board meeting.
Worship Committee Report
Linda M stated:
Rev. Stephanie has been a great addition to the monthly services
The service calendar is mostly complete through May 2026 with just a few openings. Linda M met with Eddie, to clarify expectations and have service set up by 10:15 am Linda M will provide written guidelines on how to set up the pulpit area.
They are researching changes in the sound system. An anonymous donor is willing to purchase new equipment including a new computer, microphones, cameras and a switcher/stream deck to make it more reliable and improve the sound for those who tune into Zoom
The space for after the service conversation will be evaluated and improved. Participants on Zoom will be sent to a breakout room to avoid being recorded.
There was discussion about the quality of the piano . The new equipment will provide some improvement for those tuning in on Zoom. It is acknowledged that the CfPA piano is old and not the best possible sound
Treasurers Report:
Larry stated there are no significant changes from last month.
Total assets as of 2/6/2026 are $82,817, down about $1500 from $84,314 in January, reflecting increased rent, web site redesign, and marketing.
Special Collections:
During the 2025 calendar year, Wyeast members contributed a total of $10,624 to 12 monthly special collections, an average of $885 per month.
Larry stated that the acknowledgments should be shared to the whole congregation. Thank you cards will be forwarded to Gigi to include on the rotating slide show and Wy’east News.
Rev Leslie stated that even with the variation in size of the donations to different organizations, transparency was important. The board agreed.
Membership Report;
Ron T plans to talk with Heather to learn what her space needs are for her RE materials. The membership and Linda M are scheduled to do some "house cleaning” of the window area after the service on February 22nd.
Ministerial Report
Rev Leslie requested feedback on what more the congregation or as a minister could be done about the I.C.E activity . She is looking at actions by other UU congregations in the area.
As a church ,to maintain our non profit status, we can advocate on issues but not endorse candidates.
Action will be discussed with the social justice committee.
Accessibility report:
There is consistent use of the chairs with arms and the off-camera seats. The large print volumes of the gray hymnal have arrived. The $50.00 cost was applied to the worship committee budget.
Revision of the Bylaws:
The only changes are the inclusion of the UUA shared values
and specify voting in person and members on virtual communication.
These changes will be voted on by the congregation at the annual May Congregational meeting.
Stewardship Drive:
Larry will talk with Bruce and Kendra about leading this drive in March. Pledges are needed by the end of March to work on the budget
Fifth Sunday ( March 29,2026) Project
Larry suggested supporting the First UU Church's Salmon Street Shower Project. and the clothing distribution .
Wy’east members and friends can provide support by providing needed supplies ( Men’s clothing and underwear for both sexes.) and individually contacting First church to volunteer. Larry will talk with First UU Church, Gigi and Linda M.
Collection of clothing can be gathered at the March 22nd service
